MPS launches campaign to rebuild temporary and dilapidated houses in Dak Nong province

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the authority of Dak Nong province, held a ceremony to launch a campaign to rebuid temporary and dilapidated houses across the province, on the morning of May 12, in Dak Nia commune, Gia Nghia city, Dak Nong province.

In his address, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung noted that MPS has coordinated with localities nationwide to build over 28,600 houses and several schools with total funding exceeding 1.4 trillion VND, in recent years.

He added that the ministry is currently mobilizing additional resources to rebuild more than 4,400 temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide with an estimated cost of over 280 billion VND.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung handed over 30 billion VND that the ministry had mobilized from benefactors to Dak Nong province to support the implementation of the housing program in the province.

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister also presented the Minister of Public Security’s gifts to disadvantaged households in the locality who will benefit from the program.

To meet the goal of completing the housing program in Dak Nong by the end of June 2025, MPS and the Standing Committee of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee jointly launched a 56-day campaign to rebuild and repair all temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung underscored that the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department, as the lead unit, should demonstrate strong determination and closely coordinate with relevant authorities and local people to implement the program effectively with the aim of handing over 500 new homes to the beneficiaries by June 30 so that the beneficiary families can soon settle down their lives.

Following the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung and delegates visited and handed over a new house to the family of Mr. K’Srai, a resident of Ting Wel Dom bon in Dak Nia commune, whose family is among the most disadvantaged beneficiaries of this round of support from MPS.
